This guidance takes you step by step through what you can expect.
In a pro-active manner Bristol Airport have produced and published guidance for passengers flying from or to the airport.
Please see a summary of the guidance below:
Get ready – We need your help to plan ahead
Check-in online at home
To help save time, check in online at home to get your digital boarding pass and speed up your journey through the airport.
Arrive 2 hours early
Due to extra safety checks, please arrive in good time – we recommend 2 hours before your scheduled departure time.
Wear your face covering
From now on, you’ll need to wear a face covering inside the terminal. Please come prepared and help us to keep everyone safe.
Bring contactless payment
To reduce contact, our shops and restaurants won’t be accepting cash, so please bring a contactless method of payment instead.
Stay safe – Here’s what you can expect once you’re here
Closer customer parking. No transfers
To help our passengers maintain safe distancing, all customer parking will be within walking distance of the terminal, so you won’t need a transfer bus.
Only passengers can enter the airport
To limit the number of people inside the airport, please be aware that you can only enter if you’re a passenger or helping a passenger who needs special assistance.
When flying out, we’ll scan your temperature prior to check-in to make sure that you’re safe to travel. Please do not journey to the airport if you are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19.
Helping you keep a safe distance
To help keep a safe distance, please follow our clear signage markers and be mindful of other passengers.
Extra cleaning in progress
We’ll be carrying out regular cleaning to help keep surfaces germ free – this involves an electrostatic fogging process coupled with all high frequency touch-point areas being sanitised hourly.
Hand sanitiser stations across the airport
To help you stay germ free, hand sanitisers will be stationed throughout the airport terminal building.
Protective shields at desks and tills
We’ve installed protective shields at desks and tills across the airport to help us all keep at a safe distance.
Extra takeaway options on offer
A limited selection of essential shops and restaurants will be open from early July including World Duty Free, WHSmith, Superdrug and Starbucks. You’ll still be able to enjoy a pre-flight bite with plenty of tasty takeaway options to choose from.
Provide your journey and contact details before you travel to the UK
The Government has introduced self-isolation measures for all arriving passengers in the UK. You can find out more and pre-register your details with Border Force here.
