Summer and Winter - Training and Assessment

 

Summer Moorland Walking Leader + Camping Training (SWMML)

 

This course is held over 1 evening + 2 days. It is for those wishing to lead groups in moorland terrain in South West England and South Wales in Summer conditions. Suited to those leading Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions and for Ten Tors leaders.

*Please note that the remote/wild camping endorsement is optional. Those who only require day walking in this setting please contact us prior the course.

 

 

Summer Moorland Walking Leader + Camping Assessment (SWMML)

 

This is a 2 day + 1-night remote site camping assessment is for those who have completed Summer Moorland Walking Leader Training (or WGL training or ML training but have not been assessed).

Suited to those leading Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions and for Ten Tors leaders.

 

Winter Moorland Walking Leader Training (SWMML)

 

This is for those wishing to lead groups in moorland terrain in South West England and South Wales in Winter conditions. Suited to those leading Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions and for Ten Tors leaders.

 

Winter Moorland Walking Leader Assessment (SWMML)

 

This 1 day assessment is for those who have completed Winter Moorland Walking Leader Training (or WGL training or ML training but have not been assessed).

 

Tariff

 

A very competitive pricing structure has been maintained for the coming season. The costs shown are per person and based upon a minimum of 4 candidates per course.

  • SWMML Summer Training (includes Remote Camping) £205 (2.5 days)
  • SWMML Summer Assessment (with Remote Camping) £185 (2 days)
  • SWMML Summer Remote Camping endorsement only £95 (Overnight)
  • SWMML Winter Training £195 (2 days)
  • SWMML Winter – Assessment £105 (1 day)

Please note registration for the scheme is required (this covers all the awards in the scheme). This is a one-off payment of £25.00.

The registration will include your personal scheme logbook.

All prices shown are excluding VAT. This will be added at 20%
