Why audit?

The on-site verification of current process and quality can provide you with confirmation of the levels of compliance to your business-specific requirements being achieved.

Who is it for?

Auditing can be for the complete and entire organisation or be specific to a particular process, production stage, employee procedure or customer experience.

Specific audits are bespoke to your needs. Examples include auditing method statements, risk management, operational procedures and corrective actions following an incident/accident. Covert and Overt services are available.

What to expect?

Audits as within ISO-19011 should be a systematic, independent and documented process for obtaining evidence. This includes records, statements of fact or other information, which are relevant and verifiable. Evaluation is to be completed objectively to determine the extent to which the audit criteria are fulfilled. The audit criteria will vary, examples are; a set of policies, procedures or requirements.

How are audits carried out?

There are 3 main methods through which audits are normally completed:

The First-Party Audit – is performed internally within the business/organisation to measure the identified strengths and weaknesses based upon their own criteria or external standards.

The Second-Party Audit – is an external audit performed on a supplier by a customer or by a contracted organisation on behalf of the customer (often based upon the customer requirements and those of any contractual obligations).

The Third-Party Audit – is performed by an external audit service provider who is independent of the customer-supplier relationship and any conflict of interest.
